How to Select a Size: Small–Medium or Medium–Large?
Cool Headz Hats come in two sizes: small–medium and medium–large.
This is because all hats are made of soft, breathable stretch-blend fabric that “gives” a little and allows flexibility with the sizing.
You may know intuitively whether you have a large or small head. If hats off the rack tend to be too large for you, then choose a small-medium. If hats are too large off the rack, then choose a medium-large. If you are not sure, measure around your head with a tape measure choosing the widest part of your head.
Small–Medium = 18-22 inches
Medium–Large = 22.1-24.5 inches
Because each fabric has a different amount of stretch to it, the sizing cannot always be exact but the stretch also makes the sizing more “forgiving” between the medium and the large range.

- A Cool Headz Hat comes in two lengths: short and long
- Both lengths offer full coverage for people experiencing either partial or complete hair loss.
Many customers with large heads choose the short length. Customers with small heads prefer the long length because it adds more volume. Still other customers prefer both lengths because they look great in both!
All Cool Heads hats have a band. The fabric band frames the head and offers a secure fit without being too tight. Because we select lightweight fabric for our hats, the band is easily folded under to reduce the width and offer an alternative “look.”
The long length hat is 14 inches in length (including the band) and permits many more style options than the short head cover.
The short length in the Cool Headz hat is 9 inches (including the band) and offers ease of wear—a grab-it-and-go appeal that many of our customers appreciate.
